Beekeeping training courses...

I run two training courses each year at my Yalding location. Each course runs over a seven week duration on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. No previous knowledge is required, we cater for complete novices upwards.

My courses include:

1. Introduction – bees, types and life cycle

2. Getting started

3. Bee handling theory

4. Swarm control

5. Practical hive building

6. Honey, extraction, filtering storage and sale

7. Feeding and winter preparation

8. Diseases

9 & 10. Practical bee handling (dates are subject to weather, probably Saturday afternoons)

Classes are generally from 8-10pm and a maximum of 20 per group, so please book early.

The Beginners 7 night course starts on 25th January 2012 and is then fortnightly on Wednesday Nights at Yalding Village Hall between 8pm and 10pm, the cost is £56.00.
